While you are wearing braces:

Eating proper healthy foods, is important. Hard foods, sticky foods and soft sweet foods can bend your orthodontic wires, break your brackets or cause tooth decay.

DO NOT EAT:


Hard Foods:


Hard Bread
Ice
Popcorn
Sugar Cane
Peanut Brittle
Nuts
Hard Candy
Pizza Crust
Chicken Bones
Banana Chips
Whole Fruits and Vegetables – should be cut into small pieces and eaten on back teeth


Sticky Foods:


Caramel
Starburst
Taffy
Dumplings


Soft Sweet Foods:


Chewing Gum
Gummy Bears
Chewy Candies
